Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Tendrit.ai ("Tendrit", "we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, the broker console, and the data our platform processes on behalf of brokers when drivers use the Tendrit driver app.

1. Information we collect

From brokers (our customers):

  • Account details — name, work email, password (held by our sign-in provider, Clerk), and company profile (legal name, MC/DOT number, phone, city/state).
  • Business records you enter — loads, carriers, drivers you dispatch, and related documents.

From drivers (on behalf of the broker dispatching them):

  • Name and phone number, provided by the broker at dispatch. The phone number is how a driver signs into the driver app.
  • GPS location — only during an active shipment, only after the driver accepts the in-app consent step, and only until the shipment is delivered or tracking is stopped.
  • Identity photos — a selfie and a photo of the driver's commercial license, submitted by the driver so the dispatching broker can visually confirm identity. A human at the brokerage compares these photos; we do not run automated facial recognition.

From public sources: carrier records (operating authority, safety data, business address and phone) from the U.S. FMCSA and related government datasets.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: vetting carriers, dispatching loads, tracking shipments, and identity review.
  • To operate and secure our systems, prevent fraud and abuse, and provide support.
  • To send service communications (e.g. sign-in codes, dispatch links). We do not sell personal information, and we do not use driver location or photos for advertising.

3. Who can see driver data

A driver's location trail and identity photos are visible only to the brokerage that dispatched that shipment (and to us, as the platform operator, for support and security). Each shipment's tracking is separate; other companies on Tendrit cannot see it.

4. Service providers

We use a small set of processors to run the Service:

  • Clerk — sign-in and account management
  • Convex — application database and file storage (including identity photos)
  • Vercel — web hosting
  • Twilio — SMS delivery (when SMS features are enabled)
  • Map providers (OpenStreetMap/CARTO tiles, OSRM routing, Nominatim geocoding) — shipment coordinates are used to draw maps and routes

These providers process data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect safety and our legal rights.

5. Retention

Broker business records are kept while the account is active. Driver GPS history and identity photos are kept as part of the shipment's chain-of-custody record for the dispatching broker; drivers or brokers can request earlier deletion (below). Closing an account removes its data from production systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention duties.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Drivers: tracking never starts without your in-app consent, and you can stop sharing at any time in the app. To access or delete your data, email support@tendrit.ai from the phone-associated contact or ask the dispatching broker.
  • Brokers: you can edit or delete your business records in the console, and request account deletion by email.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information. Email support@tendrit.ai and we will honor applicable rights.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit; access to production systems is restricted; each customer's records are isolated per organization; and driver tracking credentials are single-shipment tokens that are revoked when a shipment ends. No system is perfectly secure — report concerns to support@tendrit.ai.

8. Children

The Service is for business use and not directed to anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We will update this policy as the product evolves and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice.
